Misty's Photo Album

On October 30, 2008 our beloved Misty passed away.  This mare was bought at 6 months old by my mother in 1985.  Since then, Misty gave our family a lot of joy and great memories.  She was many children's first horse ride, including my oldest daughter.  We took Misty on many a trail rides over the years and had a lot of fun with her. She was a wonderful mother to many great minded and beautiful foals over the years.  She was one of a kind and had a really sweet personality.  She loved carrots, apples, coffee, ice cream...whatever you had in your hand really.  She loved to be loved and brushed.  Misty gave us her all.  We will never forget her humorous & welcoming whinney when she saw you walking up to the fence or how she lead the herd in after hearing my mother's ever famous whistle.  Over the years, she held her own out in the pasture and was always the "alpha mare" of the herd.  In the end, Misty would not gain weight and could not keep up with the others.  As broke as our hearts are, I am happy that she doesn't have to struggle within her old age any longer.  God Bless her soul.  We will love her and remember her always...
